Soooo I'm still here
Ok so I slacked off and I’m sorrrrryyyy! Well, I slacked off in writing but not really on Paleo. We made it through the whole week(s) and still are going strong. I’ve lost 4 pounds, which I have concluded was mostly water weight, and my husband is visibly skinnier and says he feels great. The withdrawals I wrote about so fondly are completely gone and have been for some time now. I...
Batman: Hey, I'm going to disappear for 8 years.
Bruce Wayne: Hey, I'm going to disappear for 8 years.
People of Gotham: Shut up, Bruce. We're trying to figure out who Batman is.
Batman: I'M BACK!
Bruce Wayne: ME TOO.
People of Gotham: NO ONE CARES, BRUCE. WHO THE FUCK IS BATMAN?

Day 4
Day 4 has been a pretty great day. Apple and almond butter for breakfast, cucumber salad for lunch and coconut chicken and creamy kale for dinner. All easy, all delicious. I’ve even started to feel a lot better! In the morning I felt great, went to work, it was hectic and afterwards felt sluggish, took a nap and felt totally rejuvenated. I think my goal of feeling well enough to being...

Day 3
So now with day three drawing to a close, the symptoms of carb withdrawal have not subsided. I’ve been in a mental fog with a headache and pretty consistent nausea thought the day, beginning at around 11am. Breakfast was sausage stir fry on top of a sweet potato latke I ate paleo snacks and smoothies throughout the day to keep my negative symptoms at a minimum and for dinner we ate...

Commencement of the Paleo Journey
A few months ago I had a baybay. And by a few I mean 8 and a week or so. Since then, I have noticed that my body’s ability to recoup its losses has diminished more than slightly. When she was first born my husband was gone doing some pointless mission for the US Navy that undoubtedly cost tax payers millions upon millions of dollars. Needless to say, with working full time and mommy duty I rarely...

The Murder of the Century:
The Gilded Age Crime that Scandalized a City & Sparked the Tabloid WarsBy Paul Collins
I’m not really sure why I decided to pick up this book as it is kind of a departure from the normal books I read, I guess I decided to spice things up a bit. Or it could have been suggested to me by Amazon.com, who I seem to trust knows me better than I know myself. You might know that I prefer to...

FLDS is Really Scary
So I just finished reading this book, Escape by Carolyn Jessop, and I am absolutely floored. Just so ya know, I really only read non-fiction books and they tend to be about some pretty dark subjects. With the recent, and incredibly cathartic, conviction of Warren Jeffs I decided to delve into the Mormon faith, particularly things surround the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day...

This is all new to me...
Since I really don’t do anything at work aside from reading celebrity gossip and facebooking, I’ve decided to try something a little different. Like maybe channelling my brain power into some a little more constructive though I will still not be contributing anything with much substance to the world wide web. I read a lot of books, like sometimes 3 a week, but I find myself forgetting...
